KFC Review!

Recently my wife celebrated her birthday and we decided to have a takeaway rather than cooking in the UK as we were in the middle of a heatwave. We saw on Just Eat that we now had a KFC delivering and decided to try them for a change especially as we saw the new Sticky BBQ Drip was available. Now we haven’t had a KFC for a while, but it was her birthday so off we went and ordered our meal and waited for it to be delivered. We both had the same meals which was the BBQ Drip Boxed Meal meaning you got a burger, chicken tender, side, fries and of course a drink. We both upgraded the drinks, the wife going for a Strawberry Boba Refresher and myself a Karamel Krunch Shake. We also shared a small popcorn chicken. So not a normal meal, and with fees and delivery it came to just over £46 – not a small amount, but well it was her birthday…

Delivery was pretty rapid considering it was a Saturday night with an England World Cup game on, and in our experience Just Eat does a decent job of estimating delivery times. The driver was cheery and the food still hot AND cold drinks just as you’d expect. We tucked in and well, we were pleasantly surprised. Fries were way better than I remembered for example, the burger was lovely coated in that sticky BBQ drip, the tender was nice and the popcorn chicked was well, it was popcorn chicken. The drinks were decent too. Not cheap, but overall not bad value for money, and we were way more full after than say a Maccys would have left us! We both enjoyed the meal, not perhaps something we’d have regularly, but still nice. I think the word we both said was a solid takeaway!
